Makeup Tips For Winter Skin

Hi ladies,

Winters are here in full swing. With winters, comes dry skin! We need to take extra care of our skin during colder months. As the skin tends to become dry and flaky, it becomes a bit tough to achieve flawless makeup base.

Let’s know about some tips and tricks that will help to keep your makeup all good and flawless.

So let’s get started!

winter makeup

Night cream is a must!

When you are regularly using night cream then that means you are providing your skin with the right amount of hydration and moisturization. So do not forget to use a season and age appropriate night cream on your skin.

Exfoliate your skin

The makeup that you are going to apply may turn blotchy or flaky if your skin is not properly exfoliated. Exfoliation will help to get rid of all the dead skin cells and would give your skin a smoother appearance.

Moisturization is key

Our skin needs moisturization no matter what the season is! Look for the moisturizer with anti-inflammatory and hydrating ingredients to combat the flakiness and irritation of the winter skin. Also, moisturize your skin while it is still a bit damp to soak in all the goodness of it!

Use cream based foundation and concealer

Powdery makeup products might aggravate the issue of dry winter skin. So try to go for hydrating and moisturizing cream based foundation and concealer to make sure that your base makeup turns out flawless.

Go for cream blushes

Sometimes you might have dry skin patches around the cheek area which makes it unsuitable to use powdery blushes as they will highlight your dry patches even more. Go for cream blushes to add a nice flush of colour to your cheeks.

Mix bronzer with your day cream

If you don’t want to use much makeup but still want a made up look then try mixing just a tiny bit of your bronzer with your favourite moisturizer or day cream. This will give a really healthy and subtle glow to your face.

Prep and exfoliate your lips

Do not forget to apply lip balm at night. Also use a mixture of olive oil and brown sugar to exfoliate your lips to prep them. Now you can apply your favourite lippie. If you are going to be using a super-matte lipstick then don’t forget to use lip balm underneath.

Happy winters…
